Growth of a Nation has an interactive atlas that allows you to explore how the nation grew from 1790 to the year 2000. This history spans from the development of the 13 colonies to 50 states. The site hosts a 10 minute video that can be played all the way through, or paused when needed. Also during the video any state can be clicked on to show details of the state's history.

This site can be used to teach about the 13 colonies, the civil war, the revolutionary war, or just to give an overall summary of how the United States developed through history.
